Canterbury’s Green Party Candidate to speak at Canterbury Christ Church University on “The politics of survival: why Canterbury needs a Green MP” on 17th March at 7pm at Old Sessions House.

In a talk organised by the University, Stuart Jeffery the Green Parliamentary Candidate for Canterbury and Whitstable will discuss why the Greens have the right plan to stop the increasing inequalities as well as the continuing destruction of the natural world. The talk will be followed by questions and answers from the audience.

Stuart Jeffery, Green Parliamentary Candidate for Canterbury and Whitstable: “I am delighted to have been invited to talk to students and the wider public at Christ Church. The importance of Green politics at local and national levels cannot be underestimated.

“Petra Kelly once remarked that if there is a future it will be green which is why I am discussing the politics of survival. I will argue that we need significantly greater equality and sharing of resource as well as a clear plan to rapidly reduce our overall impact on our environment, issues that go to the heart of green politics.”
