Kingsmead Field - Village Green Consultation now OPEN.

From Sian Pettman, Coordinator: Save Kingsmead Field campaign

Village Green application.

Our application for the registration of Kingsmead Field as a Village Green has now entered the consultation phase.  Kent County Council (KCC) has published a notice about the application in the current edition of Kent on Sunday (20 January), on Kingsmead Field itself and on the KCC website.

If you have used the field for informal recreation, or seen others use it, please support our application by writing to Kent County Council (either by email or by post) to say so.

Email Melanie McNeir (quoting the reference: VGA 650) at:
Commons.villagegreens@kent.gov.uk
Or write (quoting the reference: VGA 650) to: Melanie McNeir, Countryside Access Service, Kent County Council, County Hall, Maidstone, ME14 1XX
All correspondence should arrive by 4 March at the latest.

If our application succeeds, Kingsmead Field will be registered as a Village Green.  This will provide the opportunity for it to be protected and enhanced for the benefit of the local community for generations to come.

Public Meeting on the Kingsmead Field Campaign: Thursday 7 February 7pm

For details see the EVENTS page.

Thank you for your support,

Sian.
