Two short videos explain the current concerns in East Kent.
Rosie Rechter, a member of ‘East Kent Against Fracking’, attended the European Parliament’s Petitions Committee in Brussels on Tuesday 9th October. She read out a petition highlighting the concerns of many residents in East Kent about fracking for shale gas. Test drilling for extracting this gas near Deal has already been given the go ahead by Kent County Council. Keith Taylor, the Green MEP for South East England and a member of the Committee, was there to give his support to the petition.
Both Rosie and Keith were interviewed by Quadrant (www.europeandyou.com) for broadcasters in the South East. Watch the interview with Rosie at: http://www.europeandyou.com/news/1180/4/
